At Lori Sarvis & Associates in Deerfield Beach, Florida, our clients are individually matched with a therapist who specializes in their specific needs and issues. Our mental health providers include licensed clinical social workers, mental health therapists, as well as marriage and family therapists. We treat people of all ages with mental health issues and offer a variety of therapeutic approaches in individual counseling, couples counseling, and child and family therapy settings. Lori Sarvis, LCSW

I love the field of psychology and am continually amazed at the resilience of the human spirit – and our potential for growth. Every client who comes to us has their own story to tell, and each is unique. On behalf of all of us at Lori Sarvis & Associates, we are honored to have you share your story with us, so we can help you work out whatever may be causing distress in your life.
Lori Sarvis has been in private practice since 1985. She works with adults in individual and couples counseling. Lori’s unique and sensitive approach to her clients helps them embrace the therapy process with a positive outlook. She treats each client as an individual and works with each person to create a customized treatment plan, which may include:
- Communication building
- Education (if diagnosed with a mental illness)
- Cognitive and behavioral changes
- Traditional mental health therapies
- Holistic approaches as a complement to traditional therapeutic methods
Lori believes it is important to formulate a treatment plan that includes a client’s primary physician or psychiatrist. Many of Lori’s clients come to her for help with their anxieties, panic attacks, depression, loss of a loved one, financial changes, relationship/intimacy problems, infertility issues, drug and alcohol issues, chronic pain, and coping with life’s daily stressors. Lori also works with clients who are court-ordered to receive therapy.
Lori is a certified hypnotherapist who frequently provides relief for clients who suffer from phobias, anxiety, traumas, and habits that have negatively impacted their lives. As a hypnotherapist, Lori has been trained in past-life regression. Lori is also a certified sex therapist who works in all areas of sexuality and has led many workshops in South Florida. Lori has been a guest speaker at mental health conferences throughout the state.

Christine Agic, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Christine Agic is a licensed clinical social worker and certified behavioral specialist who has been practicing for more than 15 years.
As a behavioral specialist, Christine works with children from the age of 3 to adulthood who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders or other behavioral or social communication challenges. She also works with caretakers, providing education and promoting optimal health for the whole family.
As a social worker, Christine works with individuals, couples, and families in all areas of mental health including divorce, grieving, bipolar disorder, health-related issues causing emotional distress, chronic pain, work-related conflicts, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders.
Christine is committed to her clients and passionate about watching them make necessary changes in their lives. She utilizes a strength-based approach to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to promote sharing. Christine looks forward to working with you and your loved ones, so you can reach the goals that will allow you to create the life you desire.
Huggyse (“Gigi”) Armand, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Gigi Armand is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in helping children, adolescents, and adults using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Gigi has experience providing mental health counseling and case management services for the developmentally disabled, as well as those suffering from substance abuse, trauma, workplace incidents, chronic pain, and more. Gigi serves clients of all ages, including children (age 4 and up), adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Her passion is helping people learn how to effectively express their feelings and manage their behavior. Gigi specializes in helping others learn prosocial coping skills to help manage issues associated with traumatic events, such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse, neglect, accidents, abandonment, death, divorce, bullying, as well as mental health conditions such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and emotional behavioral disorders.
Gigi applies a strength-based approach to help her clients identify and implement the skills and abilities they already possess. Her mental health counseling services can be provided in individual and group settings.
Gloria Gonzalez, PhD, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Gloria Gonzalez is a licensed mental health counselor, certified behavior analyst, certified supervisor, and an alternative dispute resolution analyst. She has enjoyed more than 20 years of helping people with a range of mental health issues. She utilizes multiple approaches to create the desired therapeutic outcomes, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), rational emotive therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
Gloria has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s in mental health counseling, and a doctorate in humanities and social sciences. She is bilingual and speaks English and Spanish fluently.
She works with adults and adolescents in all areas of mental health, including trauma, depression, anxiety, work-related issues, family issues, interpersonal conflict, bereavement, chronic pain, bipolar disorder, aging, and dual diagnoses, to name a few.
Gloria’s approach to therapy is a comprehensive one that adjusts to the needs of each individual. She has an energetic personality that allows her to effectively engage with her clients to promote mindful awareness through the stages of their recovery.

Lisette ten Hoopen
Astrologer, Reiki Master
A member of the American Federation of Astrologers, Lisette ten Hoopen has been practicing and researching astrology for more than 10 years. Astrology is the scientific study of the movements and relative positions of the planets, as well as the energy and influence each has on different aspects of our lives. By using astrology with her clients, Lisette has been able to provide patients with peace, clarity, and a deeper understanding of their path and purpose. Lisette can interpret birth charts, which help to explain the “why” and “how” underlying our past, present, and future. She is able to guide clients on serving their purpose, according to their birth chart, and how to use the planetary energies to lead more fulfilling lives.
Lisette has also been a practicing Reiki Master for five years and, in that time, she has helped clients to heal holistically. Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that a therapist can channel energy into a client to trigger natural healing and restore physical and emotional well-being. Through Reiki, Lisette helps clients improve by activating their body’s natural healing process, optimizing energy flow, and releasing any blockages.
Kelley Kraushaar, MSW
Kelley Kraushaar is a clinical social worker who works with individuals, couples, and families. She is bilingual and welcomes Spanish-speaking clients. Kelley is very aware of the effects of cultural differences and can incorporate those differences into her therapy with you.
Her approach to the therapeutic process begins with identifying an individual’s strengths. She addresses each client’s specific concerns with the utmost care and develops a treatment plan for their best possible outcome. Kelley incorporates many therapeutic approaches into her sessions, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Kelley has a broad range of experience working with addictions, such as to drugs, alcohol, and gambling. She also works with people who have obsessions with shopping. She focuses on relapse prevention, core values, and the 12-step philosophy to help her clients maintain their recovery goals throughout their lives. She also assists family members in understanding how they can support a loved one’s recovery.
Kelley also works with older adults and their families to develop coping skills for life’s transitional stages and the challenges of aging. She also helps patients dealing with chronic pain. She believes in the importance of advocating for an individual’s needs.
Rose Lott, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Rose Lott has more than 20 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, helping individuals who are experiencing mental health or substance abuse difficulties. Rose is caring, passionate, and humble. She uses various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, gestalt and reality therapy.
Her experience includes extensive work with teenagers, beginning in South Carolina, where Rose worked in a group home for youth struggling with sexual behavioral problems as well as dual diagnoses. She then relocated to Florida, where Rose continued her career in a maximum risk juvenile security program, providing treatment to youth with mental health and substance abuse problems. She helped them with issues like self-esteem, anger management, impulse control, appropriate sexual behavior, trauma, social and communication skills, and much more.
Rose has also worked in hospice care, providing support and grief counseling to clients and their families.
She works extensively with adults in all areas of mental health, including work-related issues, chronic pain and illness, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety.
Gail Rattner, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Gail Rattner is a licensed clinical social worker who provides mental health and behavioral counseling to clients. She works with individuals suffering from a wide range of issues, including mood disorders, eating disorders, addictions, relationship and family issues, chronic pain and other health issues, and trauma.
Gail’s counseling style is intuitive, empathetic, and goal-oriented.

Halla Steiner, LCSW
Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Halla Steiner has worked in the field of child and adolescent therapy for more than 25 years. She has worked as a therapist and supervised clinicians within the therapeutic foster care system to help youth with severe emotional disturbances in relation to prior abuse and exposure to trauma.
Halla works with children age 4 and up. She enjoys working with children and families as they struggle to redefine their family roles when behaviors or emotional situations create conflict. This may include issues with school, divorce, and behavioral or emotional conflicts.
She wholeheartedly believes in finding a way to address issues that can make life seem so challenging. Halla looks forward to helping your family find more productive and positive ways to handle life situations and work together.
Lorraine Zumar, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Lorraine Zumar is a licensed mental health counselor and is certified as an addiction professional in the state of Florida. She received her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.
Lorraine has more than 25 years of experience working in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs serving clients with mental health issues, substance abuse issues, gay/lesbian issues, and chronic psychiatric issues. She has worked for large nonprofit organizations, small private treatment programs, and in private practice. She has also provided clinical supervision to mental health students and interns.
Her specialties includes anxiety disorders, bereavement and grief counseling, co-dependency behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, gay-lesbian issues, health disabilities, life management counseling, mood disorders, chronic pain, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, and addictive disorders.
Lorraine’s approach is client-centered and emphasizes goals for therapy and an ongoing evaluation of the selected therapeutic approach. Lorraine utilizes several different treatment methods, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, reality therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
